At the top of both browser windows, at the far-left end of the URL bar, there’s a little icon of the letter “i” in a circle. (I did this on my Mac, but I’m guessing it would work on other platforms too.) I’m reading this article in Firefox, so I opened a new blank window in Chrome. I just tried an interesting little experiment, with a useful result. In the past I’ve just copied and pasted the URL, but (even for just one tab) that is a little tedious. Since I’ve rarely wanted to transfer more than one tab between browsers, I’m not inclined to install another extension just for that - especially one that (according to your description) closed all my tabs in the process. It is unfortunately the only remaining Opera theme for the Firefox Internet browser. Update 2: You can install Opera themes for Firefox to make the Firefox web browser look more like the classic Opera web browser after installation.: The theme has not been updated since 2011, which may be an indication that it is no longer actively maintained by its author. Here is a screenshot of the theme's header when installed in the Firefox web browser. Update: The theme is no longer available on the official Firefox themes website. The Operetta and Operetta Advanced themes are available at the Mozilla Firefox website. It might also be the prime choice for Opera or Google Chrome users as these web browsers place the tabbar by default above most - in Google Chrome's case all - other toolbars. Some Firefox design mockups suggest that the developer's are thinking about moving the tabbar to the top of the web browser header and the Operatta Advanced theme for Firefox can be used to get accustomed to this possibility. Both Operetta themes are based on the design of the Opera 10 web browser with the normal version making use of the standard toolbar layout with tabs below the other toolbars, and the advanced version placing the tabbar above all other toolbars.īoth editions of the Firefox theme look professionally done and the selection comes down to the personal preference of the user. These differ mainly in the toolbar layout. The Operetta theme comes in two versions: a normal and advanced version. One of the first themes to make use of these new features is the Operetta theme which is available as an experimental theme from the official Mozilla Firefox website. Version 3.6 of the Firefox web browser introduces several new design options for theme creators that are not available in previous versions of the Internet browser, including the latest official release version Firefox 3.5.4.
